Hi, Hi !!! Today's topic on why Young Living Essential Oils have been such a fulfilling part of my life over the last 4years.... Wellness, Purpose & Abundance.
When I work around my home, because Young Living offers such an independent business model, and I can work from home, in a cafe, in the library, pretty much anywhere in the world.... I mean I could own a caravan and travel around Australia and still work in the comfort of my little mobi-home. But when I work from home, I generally create the space Im sitting in to be surrounded in beautiful journals, stationary always handy, if possible a nice view & maybe see my chickens outside wandering in the yard, for when I look up and away from my screen, and obviously my essential oils are nearby and usually the room Im in has a diffuser, so I top it up and turn it on. Having a workspace that is comfortable and inspiring is the best part of working from home. I remember working in a corporate office, with the petitions up, the uninspiring corporate blue petitions. I think we mostly make our spaces at work, work, but its mostly not a place one can kick their shoes off or move around for that matter. I dont just sit at my desk when Im at home, I move from the kitchen bench, to the dining table, the lounge floor, and even sometimes lay in bed (I make that a rarity - I'm not a fan of technology in my sleeping space)... but you get my drift...
I didn't necessarily come inspired to tell you about how I work from home... although it does fit into the whole - wellness. purpose. and abundance. mission. Which is what Young Living's mission is, and quite frankly, I can honestly say, that is my mission too... for me and for others...
Another nerdy thing I love is, and its probably from the one & only awesome English teacher I had, who somehow inspired me to enjoy literature at school. Is the meaning of words, which was what also inspired me to write (and finish the homework to prepare me for the assessment - hahahaha). Words like onomatopoeia and alliteration that defined how certain words played out in sentences, nerd alert right ! hahaha Being a word nerd, doesn't always mean I am some top notch grammar guru either, and Im not sure if its classed as dyslexia that was never picked up in my days at school, but as an adult I've noticed the way I string a sentence together is sometimes grammatically incorrect or reversed. Which if Im real, I only really got to understand as an adult. Before I married my now husband, my my mother in law (who was an early childhood teacher) corrected my Aussie ochre language, which makes me ever so grateful !!!
Again another story that I wasn't expecting to share...
Although it will all come together, I like to come full circle and get complete on what I have to share, hahaha.

What do define Wellness as ? Here's what Wellness means to me -
Wellness to me is happiness, and that can be both mind & body, but for me it usually comes from within. In respect of which one should we nourish first, the mind controlling the body or the body controlling the mind, I don't think anyone has had anything concrete to suggest either, and since, they come hand in hand, I figure this requires a balancing act. I remember when I was training for the 10K run as part of the Gold Coast Marathon, after getting running for so long I certainly started to think about how much love there was surrounding me, and had a heart full of gratitude, even for the sky. The beauty oozed out of everything. So which came first the chicken or the egg, did the mind tell the body, or did the body tell the mind ? Let me tell you, my mind didn't say I want to go for a run, and yet it was my mind that dragged my body out of bed to go for the run. Have you ever heard of cell memory or epigenetic's, well these things intrigue me...
Then there is how nourishing our body helps our mind, there are so many points to consider when it comes to nourishing our body. I remember when I booked out a holiday apartment for a week, got juices delivered, organised to have 3 colonics and parked the car and didn't drive anywhere for the week. I went to a little organic cafe for juices in between having the juices that I got delivered, when I felt like having a top up of something extra. By the way, it took me a lot of time of doing my own juicing and making smoothies etc before I embarked on a week of juicing only, it was like just like my body having a spring clean. While I was on this mamma break, going into the beach almost every day, I tackled one of my biggest fears, which was swimming across Tallebudgera Creek. I went one way easy, the way back I remember coming up to see how far I was away from the other side, and I was half way, and saying to myself "I am love and light, I am love and light". Then laughing about the fact that a shark knew that I was love & light ! hahaha I came home feeling like a new woman !
So basically, wellness for me is keeping my mind and body healthy and happy.
Purpose... For me it was questionable for a long time, sometimes I think our schooling takes us on a journey of many paths to get to our true purpose... and even that, I'm sure is divine timing, with regards being part of what we learn and the experiences we gather to get to a place where one has a realisation that one's purpose for being here, being alive becomes really apparent.
One of my Young Living Essential Oil Mentors organised for a group of women to a "discovering your unique gift" workshop, and it was described as "Your ‘Gift’ is the essence of who you are and what you’re here to do. Recognising the unique contribution that you bring to the world allows you to shine and express more of the Gift that you are in daily life."
This is what came out of the workshop for me, it took us all to a vulnerable place, while we were going through the process.
"Her initiative, organisation and presenting skills inspire others. Participating in the sharing wisdom, knowledge and nurturing communities allows the opportunity for beauty to be revealed through tuning into her intuition, self-expression, and connection."
It's a very worthwhile exercise to take on, especially with a supportive circle of trustworthy friends or mentors.
Do you know what your purpose is ?
Abundance... There are a few speakers who are inspiring on this topic, but one in particular is an interview with Oprah - During a student-led interview at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Oprah Winfrey shares seminal moments of her career journey and the importance of listening to your instincts. Winfrey also offers advice to students on how to find their calling: "Align your personality with your purpose, and no one can touch you.". Oprah speaks of how she was told she was full of her self and that she took this as a compliment, because when one has their cup full, they can then give with the over flow, its an age old saying. For me Abundance goes hand in hand with Generosity.
To come full circle, for me aligning myself with this amazing venture of sharing young living oils, in a direct selling company that has a mission of wellness, purpose and abundance, is such a joy. Young Living's people, products and trainings are certainly generous in all aspects.
If this helped you in any way, and you know someone that is feeling stuck or struggling with their wellness, purpose or abundance, please share this link with them, it could be really helpful.
A last tip as I finish up, is Remember to Breathe...
